Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m David Lagina, founder of Lakeside Angling, and I’m glad you’re here. 

Fishing has never been just a hobby for me. It’s a way of life, shaped by early mornings, quiet water, and time spent learning from the one who taught me best, my grandpa. Some of my earliest and most meaningful memories come from those days on the water. He showed me how to tie my first knot, how to be patient, and how to appreciate every moment, fish or no fish.

The idea for Lakeside Angling actually started as a concept for a fishing lodge during a college class project. I imagined a place where anglers could gather, relax, reconnect with nature, and learn to fish. But the more I worked on it, the more I realized it could become something real. Something bigger. Not just a place, but a brand that brings that same feeling of simplicity, passion, and connection into everyday life.

I kept coming back to one problem. I couldn’t find clothing that felt right for people like us, something that looked good, held up outdoors, and reflected the lifestyle we live. So I started designing gear that could go from the lake to town without missing a beat.

That’s how Lakeside Angling was born.

Our mission is simple. Create quality apparel that elevates the angling experience while honoring the traditions, values, and stories that come with it.

But this brand is about more than just clothing. It’s about building a community of anglers who believe in slowing down, teaching others, and enjoying the water the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or casting your first line, I want you to feel welcome here.
